Tue Feb 16th History of Rock & Roll 1954 - 1966 - Howard Slater

Online at 2pm, but 'doors' will open at 1:50pm. Access information will be provided to members nearer the time.

Rock and roll begins in 1954, just as it ends in 1966. There are some people who still don't even know it started, and others who resist believing that it has passed. Artists and groups still play rock and roll music, and many of us are still digging it.
This talk is about where the term Rock & Roll originate from, the music and the people. Shown by slides and some very short song clips.
