What is happening?

If you want to know what's going on, our monthly general meeting in the seminar room at Bloomfield is a great place to start. We can be found there on every second Saturday of the month. From 10 till 10.30, we enjoy meeting and socialising with other members over tea or coffee. Then we conduct club business and listen to special presentations by members or other interesting members of the community. It is also where you may hear about special U3A events coming up, make new contacts, talk to members of activity groups and perhaps hear about other events happening in the community. Sometimes, you may go home with some home-grown produce!

Our members are from a huge range of backgrounds, and often organise trips to the theatre, quizzes, gardening trips, etc. For example, in November 2018 we hosted an intra-U3A quiz. It did get competitive, but money was raised for Children in Need. Similar events are planned for 2019.

If you're not a member, come along and see what we're all about. If you are a member, and haven't been able to get to a meeting for a while, we look forward to seeing you again soon. We'll have missed you!

You can view all events by clicking the link in the top right hand corner of the page to access a PDF version of our diary. Where contact numbers are not shown, you are advised to either come along or contact our secretary Juliet Burgess for more details. Our newsletters are also a good source of information.
