The University of the Third Age is a national movement for retired and semi-retired people who are keen to carry on learning and sharing knowledge, as well as making new friends in a wide range of interest, leisure & creative groups. It consists of local U3As all over the UK, which are charities in their own right & run entirely by volunteers.

Welcome to the website of the MOOR U3A, Heaton Moor, Stockport, SK4 4PB, Cheshire, N/W of Town Centre. The group launched in 2004 & now has a small friendly membership of around 50, involved in a selection of group activities. (Being an all female group, we would welcome any men to come & join us).

Come along to our Monthly meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month, we meet at 1.45pm for a prompt start at 2pm, you can find out what's on that month, book to attend various groups and meet friends. We have speakers almost every other month, from 2.30pm or 'Activities' at most other times, also 2 or 3 times a year, we have a lunch, held here before the meeting. See the 'Activities' section above, for 'up-to-date' information.

Our current annual subscription is £15, which covers all the groups you wish to join, (unless extra trips are arranged for a charge). We meet at: The Moor Club, Heaton Moor Rd, Heaton Moor, (next door to the Elizabethan & opposite 'Boots'). You are welcome to turn up here as a guest, to see what we do, enjoy refreshments at the end of the meeting or click on 'Contact' 'Membership Secretary' to send an email, if you're interested in coming along, or want more infomation.
