Activities

Come along to our monthly General Meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month, please arrive for 1.45pm to give time to sign-up for some of the groups, the meeting aims to start promptly at 2pm, at The Moor Club, Heaton Moor Rd, (opposite Boots) SK4 4PB, to find out what's on that month, check the various groups (if not done before meeting) and meet friends over refreshments, after the meeting. We also have 5 speakers a year (who are due to speak from 2.30pm, so please arrive no later than 1.45pm) and we have 2 or 3 booked lunches before these meetings, (dates will be shown below).

The Art & Culture Group has been given suggestions for visits in 2020: Whitworth Art Gallery-'Cezanne's drawings & prints', Exhibition at Tate - in Liverpool; Museum at Woodford (the ex-airodrome); Sudbury Hall NT, dates to be confirmed.

The bus group is very flexible, can be any day of the week, (any member can suggest a venue). This is a popular group with some interesting places visited, most are by free local transport, with the occasional coach trip.

2 Christmas Lunches were booked in 2019. The Gardening group went to Wilmslow Garden Centre on the last Friday in November and the 'Lunching out' group's Christmas lunch went to the Alma Lodge for 13h Dec.'19.
