Bus Safari

After a two-year hiatus, we are re-starting a programme of Bus Safaris, with David & Jacqui Earley replacing Philip Watts as group leaders.
Initially, the safaris will be Wednesdays , on an ad hoc basis, until a working pattern emerges. For further information, contact the Bus Safari Group Leaders.
The safaris will offer a relaxed day out with fellow travellers from the U3A, using your bus pass, so they are absolutely free! On each safari, we plan to visit one or two local attractions, with a visit to a pub for lunch. (unfortunately, not free!)
We intend to keep the booking system for these bus safaris as simple as possible - for both those travelling and the organisers. However, we do need to know who is coming for three reasons. First, bus capacity, as some of the buses are quite small. Secondly, so that we can reserve a suitable table in the chosen pub. Thirdly, to let you know if the trip is cancelled due to bad weather.
Details of forthcoming safaris will be announced via the Midhurst U3A eNewsletter service. If you would like to come on a trip, please let us know at least two weeks beforehand (first come first served as numbers are limited to 18). To book, send an email by clicking on this link Bus Safari Group Leaders. Please include your name, email address and mobile phone number. We will send full information and the itinerary. Also please keep an eye on your email for any further information. Should we need to cancel due to bad weather, we will email on the day before the trip.

Dates for your Diary
Wed Sep 14th Next Bus Safari – Wednesday 14 September to Guildford Cathedral

The next Bus Safari is scheduled for Wednesday 14th September when we plan to visit Guildford, taking in the cathedral and the castle.

The plan is to catch the No 70 bus from Midhurst at 10:00 which should arrive at Guildford bus station at 11:10. From there, we will catch a local bus to the cathedral, where I hope to be able to arrange a guided tour. After visiting the cathedral, we will return to the town centre and have lunch. After lunch, we will go to the castle, or you can have some retail therapy if you’d prefer.

If you plan to join us, please email David & Jacqui Earley by clicking on Bus Safari Group Leaders.
