Middlewich

Poetry Group

The group usually meets once a month, on the second Thursday at 3pm, in Middlewich Library to read and discuss poetry. We decide a theme at each meeting and then bring along our favourites to the group.

April’s selection of poems concerned Flora and Fauna and ranged widely in age and content. Some old familiar and loved works shared the stage with newer verses, all beautifully read by members.

May’s poems, Thursday 8th, will be by William Blake, of ‘Tyger, Tyger’ fame.

Do come and join us on the second Thursday of the month: we do tend to liven up the library during our get-togethers.
