Mid-Northumberland

Philosophy

Frequency: 3rd Mondays
Time:10.00 to 11.30
Venue:Longhirst Village Hall
Leader:Susan Davies

You will find us to be a relaxed group of about twelve people, most of whom are engaging with philosophy for the first time. We find it fascinating.

Our current arrangements include the following:-

1. Spending some sessions viewing and discussing a DVD about philosophers and their ideas.

2. Enjoying discussions of a philosophical topic which may be inspired by current events, newspaper articles or articles from the U3A Philosophy network.

3. Listening to philosophical discussions on Melvyn Bragg's "In Our Time" or on TED talks.

All these activities lead to group discussion.
