Melton Mowbray

Family History 1

Leader:Jenny Bullimore
Meeting:1st and 3rd Wednesday of month 10:00am-12:00pm
Venue:Melton Mowbray Library
Contact:familyhistory1@u3ameltonmowbray.org.uk

Originally one friendly group of 20, but now split into 2 as we are limited by the number of available computers. We meet at the library as Ancestry and Find My past can be accessed for up to 7 hours per week (you need to be a member of the library to get access to this software).

The groups range from beginners to expert with everyone helping each other. We need to pre-book the computers, which we do on line, by phone or in person. This can be done up to 2 weeks in advance.

For the past few years we have met for a Christmas lunch after the 1st meeting in December. The last 2 years pre-Covid, we have had our Christmas lunch at Brooksby College and have booked to go there again this year.
