The recorder group ensemble plays in four-part harmony for descant, treble, tenor and bass recorders. Recorder players of any standard are very welcome to join the group. Free lessons are available for beginners who would like to learn and then enjoy the pleasures of playing in an ensemble.

We have played folk tunes, Christmas carols and some music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. We have tackled some spirituals with tricky jazzy rhythms and are open to any kind of music in the future. We are a friendly group, very willing to have a laugh and support each other. We always stop for tea, biscuits and chat at half time.

If you’ve ever wished you could play in a band or (very small) orchestra, this is the group for you.
