The photography group is now in its 10th year and surviving despite everything! The group consists of around 20 members with very different levels of expertise. We have some excellent photographers in our number but also have many photographers with much less experience (and confidence). The cameras too range from the expensive state of the art kit right through to compacts and bridge cameras... and even mobile phones! The aim of the group is to help members become better photographers than they have been before.
The beauty of this mix of abilities is that most more experienced members are very willing to help those members in the group who are still learning. Even those who have been doing photography for many years benefit from revisiting techniques and those who are starting out and wanting to progress gain considerably from the experience of others.
The group is now co-ordinated by 4 members. We meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the RAFA Club on Asfordby Road. We aim to have at least one outing a month and welcome suggestions on places to visit and members to put themselves forward to arrange them. This is a very friendly group and a warm welcome awaits.
