In October of last year we introduced a minor enhancement to our first come first served trip booking arrangement. The enhancement is that when a trip is formally announced, members can reserve places on that trip immediately by emailing or telephoning the organiser; as long as they follow up that reservation within three working days with a completed application form and payment. The intention of this enhancement is to make it fairer for those who are less mobile, live outside of Melbourn or do not use email.
The system is working well but please bear in mind that if you telephone the organiser and get no reply, it is OK to leave your request on their answerphone rather than trying to call them later.
