Guitar Group Annual Update
The Guitar Group meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month with 9 regular members and 3 additional members looking to join. This is starting to outgrow the living room and chair supply of the group leader and we may have to consider another venue. We have worked on some basic guitar techniques as well as gathering a collection of songs that could be performed at the AGM. Some members play at open mic nights, and are starting to use the new ideas in their performances. One member is now writing their own jazz arrangements of old standards and learning to read music, and others are rejuvenating their old skills from playing in bands in the 50's and 60's.
