Marple Bridge & Mellor

Welcome

About Marple Bridge and Mellor U3A

We are a group of local retired people in Marple Bridge and Mellor who have formed a branch of the "University of the Third Age". We are affiliated to the THIRD AGE TRUST. Some of our interest groups are run jointly with other local U3A branches who are members of the Pennine Link.

Our monthly meetings are normally held at St Paul's, Compstall, SK6 5HU; in the Church Hall on the 3rd Thursday of each month. There is limited car-parking within the grounds of the Church and additional Pay and Display parking is available at Etherow Country Park.

The Hall is equipped with a loop system so that members with hearing difficulties can listen to the speakers. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served before the formal meetings begin, giving members an opportunity to chat to friends and to enrol for the various activities. Members are charged an admission fee to cover the cost of refreshments etc.

The attendance fee is £2 for members and £2 for visitors.

We have many interest groups which can be viewed via the "Groups" link above. If you are interested in joining, you can be assured of a warm welcome. For any further information regarding our association please contact either the Secretary or the Chairman.

For membership enquiries please contact the Membership Secretary.
