Soft Tennis
NEW VENUE
Soft Tennis is a really good way to exercise. It is played with tennis rackets and larger foam balls on a badminton court (with lowered nets). The rules of tennis still apply, but the game is slower and there is less distance to run (or gently move!) Not only does it improve hand-eye coordination and fitness, but it's fun to play in a social group.
The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 2pm to 3pm at the Oak Tree Leisure Centre (next to Tesco, Jubilee Way, Mansfield) but they are looking to hold it twice a month shortly. There is car-parking at the centre.
Please contact Christine Smith, who is the Group Leader, if you are interested in coming along. No equipment needed and no special clothes, just a pair of trainers. Cost is £10 for 4 sessions.
Come along and enjoy a couple of hours of gentle exercise. The Group Leader has to be notified a week in advance if you want to come along as Oak Tree Lane Leisure Centre will not let us pre-book more than a week at a time and as we have quite a few members, we need to know how many courts to book.
