I joined Mansfield u3a in 2013 and soon found interest groups that appealed to me, with the Writing for Pleasure Group being the first one I joined. Learning to play Bridge with my husband, Michael, has opened up a whole new circle of friends. We run the Soft Tennis Group and I have recently become a social member of the Bowls Group.

I joined the u3a in November 2016 following retirement from various secretarial posts in the NHS. So far I have joined the Gardening Club which I enjoy and I am looking forward to joining other groups. Meanwhile, I volunteer at the Museum and St Phillips Primary School so I am kept busy!
