Walkers

Mansfield U3A's Walking Group is a very friendly group that meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month to enjoy a 3.5 to 5-mile walk. These walks vary and can be on tracks and trails but sometimes are over stiles, through woods, over fields or up a slight hill. We are never in a hurry and allow people time to get catch their breath when necessary.

Please wear suitable shoes or boots as some walks may be muddy and bring a hot or cold drink for when we stop for a break half-way through the walk.

The walks start at 10.30am.

The next walk is on June 27 when we will be walking from Linby to Papplewick via Newstead Abbey. This is the longest walk we do at 5.5 miles but it is very easy and we have a 30 min break at Newstead Abbey where you can have some refreshments in the cafe. There are parking bays on the main street at the village of Linby and also parking at the side of the Horse and Groom pub. Don't park in front of the pub please. Linby is signposted from Nottingham road and the post code is NG158AE.

If the weather is extreme, please phone to check if the walk is still taking place, [and for any other details, directions etc]. Our numbers are 645400 or 07432 649162
