U3A Art Appreciation Group for Mansfield U3A
Mansfield U3A Art Appreciation group holds friendly monthly meetings to share a common interest in Western Art.
Each meeting focuses on a particular subject and we have an interesting selection of DVDs and videos by art historians which help to form the basis of our discussions.
Members are invited to participate by bringing along favourite pictures to share and discuss with the group. We also look at particular aspects of art and this has included a session on portraits from the Renaissance to the present day.
We have enjoyed local visits and we are looking forward to further visits to more well-known galleries, both national and maybe international – we have high hopes!
