Ukulele 4 Fun
Welcome to our Ukulele 4 Fun (u4f) page.
When: Every Tuesday evening
Time: 7pm to 8:30pm
Where: Lymm United Reform Church, Brookfield Rd, Lymm, WA13 0PX
Group Leader: Rod King assisted by Marcia Dale and Pam Redford
Aims of the group: Enjoy ourselves making music with ukuleles singing songs!
When you mention to people in conversation that you are in a ukulele group then the usual response is "Oh yes, its that George Formby music". Actually, nothing could be further from the truth. We choose songs from a wide range that spreads from traditional folk songs to pop music. But for us playing is meant to be fun. And the great thing about our group is that whether you can play one chord, two chords or twenty-two chords, you will be welcome and can fit in without any stress in a friendly environment that seeks "fun in making music" rather than technical excellence. That doesn't mean we do not try and get things right, but we are not obsessed with it. And as you learn more chords then you will feel even better with your progress.
For us all in the group just spending an hour and a half singing and strumming is good for the soul and a great Tuesday night activity.
So if you would like to try some Ukulele 4 Fun then please contact us to try us out. We could even loan you a ukulele for a few weeks.
