TED Talk
“TED Talks” are a relatively recent innovation for Lymington U3A. After tea or coffee, a short (approximately 20-minute) video on a thought-provoking theme is shown, followed by informal discussions in small groups. The concept originated in the USA, where the talks initially focused on Technology, Entertainment and Design – hence the name “TED Talks” – but they now cover a huge range of diverse topics, from science to business to global issues. TED Talks are held on the third Monday of every month (except public holidays) from 10.00 to 11.30am in the Lymington Centre Hall.
