VISITS
Over the past few years we have had guided tours of the City of London, London's museums and art galleries, and excursions to places of interest such as Oxford, Cambridge, Wisley Gardens and Windsor Castle. At the time of the pandemic we were planning excursions to Rochester (Dickens's house at Gad's Hill), and Bath. Such visits will resume on a regular basis once the pandemic is over.
During lockdown we have been holding 'virtual tours' of places such as Kew Gardens, City churches, London's museums and art galleries, Myddelton House gardens and Forty Hall, Enfield.
These zoom presentations currently take place on Wednesday mornings and are advertised in the members' Monday morning 'Mailchimp' newsletter. Planned for coming weeks are virtual tours of Tate Britain gallery, 'Saints and Sinners through art', and a guided tour of the City of Bath.
