French (Six groups)
21. French (Intermediate) - Monday
We meet in Plumstead , Blackheath or Ladywell on most Monday afternoons to discuss current affairs, personal experiences, excursions and excitements. We also listen to recordings from French news and read articles together. We deal with grammatical / structural/ idiomatic themes when such issues arise. The emphasis is on communication and enjoyment.
At present, the group is full.

19. French Conversation (Intermediate), Blackheath - Tuesday -----
We meet weekly on zoom now, hoping to revert to meetings at private houses again, when possible.
At fortnightly meetings with our Tutor, we encourage everyone to make short presentations and join in lively discussions, helping each other with French.
Also, we discuss a novel that we read at home, in agreed sections.
In alternate weeks, those who wish, meet informally to chat in French.This has improved our confidence in speaking French.
This is a friendly group and we have room to welcome new members, so please get in touch to see if our level suits you

22. French (Intermediate), New Eltham - Wednesday
This class is for people with a good basic knowledge of French.
This term we will continue to read and translate easy French books, we will practice good pronunciation while acting in small plays and each member will prepare a small speech on a subject of their choice.
The course is full at the moment, but there is a waiting list.

20. French (Intermediate) - Thursday
We are a friendly bunch who enjoy sharing and discussing our news & world events, translating passages and listening to French speakers from the web. We also plan to arrange festive meals out.
New members are most welcome.

17. French advanced reading group - Thursday
We are a new small, committed and friendly group that reads and translates orally into English short works by French authors including Maupassant, Flaubert, Alphonse Daudet. We also read occasional current affairs news items.

18. French, Blackheath - Friday
This class is intended for those of intermediate standard but we welcome those whose knowledge is a little rusty. We usually have conversation for half the session, then read and translate in the second half. There is room for a new member.
