There will be a wide range of subjects in 2018 on the themes of Art, Current Affairs, Drama, History, Literature, Music and Science -- A choice of 32 different talks, 2 workshops, and 6 guided walks around the City of London.
In this 100th Anniversary Year of Women’s Suffrage, we are including some talks covering various aspects of women’s literature, history, arts and sciences.
Attendance can be for one, two or three days and the cost is £36 per day.
Refreshments and a cold buffet lunch are included.

EVENTS FOR U3As IN LONDON HOSTED BY OTHER ORGANISATIONS

Stars in Their Eyes: Apotheosis, Illustration, Commemoration, from the Ancients to the 21st Century

This event is being organised by the University of Roehampton
Romantic Illustration Network with the House of Illustration for members of U3A.
The workshop will consider how and why writers and artists from Ovid to David Bowie have been immortalised as constellations.
The programme begins with a talk and discussion led by Dr David Fallon, followed by refreshments and a practical illustration workshop led by award-winning medical illustrator Merlin Strangeway.
Admission to the House of Illustration (including special exhibitions) is included in the registration fee.

U3A in London EASTER CONFERENCE, 2018

U3A in London has now been organising these very successful events for some 20 years. They take place in the main hall in The Old Town Hall in Belsize Park, which is the home of this U3A. The Conference runs from 3 - 5 April and costs £45.00 for the three days which includes lunch on the Wednesday and Thursday. It is non-residential and is open to U3A members throughout the country. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis.
