Bulletin for August- September 2019

THE FUTURE OF YOUR U3A
Your committee needs new members to take on vacant roles, ensuring its' survival.
All to help the running of the branch. Roles from correspondence to social secretary.
Meeting co-ordinators, understudy/back-up tasks for databases, online presence, one-off
tasks such as arranging printing of membership cards.
All need your help for vacancies, holidays, and absences.

Could it be you? Please chat to one of the committee for more info.
There is plenty of support and help available and we are a very friendly lot!

We will be having an Introduction to Early Renaissance Art with Simon Breedon, Visitor Host.

Reading Homer's Odyssey

The Odyssey can be read simply as an exciting story but as one of the supreme masterpieces of world literature the poem repays closer study with deepened insight and delight. Any translation may be used since constant reference will be made to the Greek. This is a unique opportunity for close reading of the world's most enjoyable epic
