WHAT DOES THE GROUP DO?
This is a Ukulele workshop where songs are performed using fairly straightforward chords. It is not a teaching group, but if you’d like to give it a try come along to a session and just join in. Most people find this the best way to learn and the sessions are great fun. The group is open to all members of Littlehampton and Arun West U3As and welcomes new members for a taster session before joining.
The Ukulele group normally meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 10.00 – 12.00 noon, with a break at 11.00 for refreshments. However during the Coronavirus crisis, the group is unable to meet as normal but continues to play via Zoom each week on Tuesdays at 10.00am. Any member wishing to join this, please contact the group leader for information and a link to the sessions.
A ukulele of any type, and cheap Japanese ones are a good way to get started. If you want to try this group but haven’t yet got a ukulele just contact Frank (see below) for advice or he can bring along a spare ukulele.
