Events

Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Monday in every month at 2pm in the Coach House.
Admission, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits is £1 for members, £3 for non members.

The meetings feature guest speakers who cover a wide range of interesting topics.

Members can get details of any groups that are up and running.
Please speak to the Group Convenor to ask if there is a vacancy.

Suggestions for new groups are always welcome.

Members can also sign up and pay for any future outings they would like to attend.

March 2019
Tue Mar 5thWalking 1Meet- 10am at the Coach House

Route- Lower Cleggswood Farm, Annis Hill, Broad Carr, Castle Hill, Rakewood, Brearley and
Ealees Valley.

Terrain- A relatively low level walk with no long steep climbs.

Distance- 5.5 miles approx

The concert lasts for one hour and a two course lunch is available in the Clock Tower restaurant after the concert costing £6. A vegetarian option is available.

Travel will take approx 1 hour each way. ( £1 per Car on the Car Park )

Route- Wycoller Country Park
Steep climb to Atom Panopticon
( approx quarter of a mile )
Moorland Tracks and some road walking.
Down to a wooded valley.
Follow the stream to Wycoller Village.
Return to Car Park.

The cafe at Wycoller is closed on Tuesdays, so please bring a drink and a sandwich.

This play tells the tale of a washed out former Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele, who is trying to reboot his career by playing King Lear in Stratford upon Avon. Unfortunately, due to a monumental ‘cock-up’ he ends up in Stratford on the Wold playing at a local am-dram society in a barn!

The tour includes the story of the Hall which was first mentioned in 1177 and some of the people who lived there.
Car parking charges apply if travelling by car, £2.50p up to 3 hours. Post Code M5 3AN

Sat Nov 2ndTravel and HolidaysI am hoping to organise through Althams of Littleborough a one night stay at the Hydro Hotel Llandudno on November 2nd 2019.

The cost of £64 per person for a double/twin room will include Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, Evening entertainment in the Hotel and coach travel to and from Littleborough.

There are currently 10 single rooms available at the same price which will be booked on a first come first served basis. There will be a small supplement for extra single rooms, the price of which I will negotiate based on numbers.

We will need a minimum of 30 participants for the trip to take place, so if you are interested please let me know as soon as possible.
