Our meetings feature guest speakers who cover a wide range of interesting topics.

Members can get details of any groups that are up and running.

Please speak to the Group Convenor to ask if they are accepting new members.

Suggestions for new groups are always welcome, as are volunteers.

Members can also sign up and pay for any future outings they would like to attend when these resume.

Dates for your Diary
August 2022
Thu Aug 18thMeetingOur August Thursday walk will meet on Thursday 18th August at 10 am in the A58 large layby with notice board going over to RIPPONDEN before you reach BAITINGS reservoir. We will walk around the res & then drop down to RYBURN reservoir. If the layby is closed because road stone is being stored there just travel on another 300 yards & where the road comes in on the RIGHT park up there. Only ONE CLIMB -----------NOTHING SERIOUS !!

Precise route will depend on weather and conditions underfoot. Back in time for lunch.

We will cover a distance of approximately 4 miles - 6 km taking about 2 hours (depending on howfast we walk). It will take a circular route over relatively easy terrain and mainly defined paths.

Suitable for fit beginners, please wear weather-approriate footwear and clothing. You can bring food and drink for a mid walk rest and a mobile phone is recommended. No dogs please. The meeting point can be reached by public transport and there are car parking facilities at the layby.

Any new walkers should bring emergency telephone numbers for next of kin, and will be asked to confirm they have completed their personal risk assessment.
