Poetry Matters: Landscapes in England (new)

PXMR Wednesdays 1000-1200 (6 sessions: 3rd Oct, 17th Oct, 31st Oct, 7th Nov, 21st Nov, 5th Dec)

Convener: Lynne Masters

The course is an exploration of how different poets have captured the essence of specific areas and places in England in their work. No prior knowledge is needed and the course is restricted to 16 members to facilitate participation. Copies of the poems for each session will be provided by Lynne and also group members will be most welcome to bring in or suggest poems they would like to share. It might be necessary to ask for a small contribution towards photo-copying costs but not to exceed £2.

N.B Doctor Dorothy Goldman will be offering a poetry course in the Spring Term.

Lynne Masters had a long career as a lecturer in English Literature and has recently worked as a tutor for the WEA and for the Friends Centre in Brighton
