Latin - Continued

Latin and the History of the Roman World
Zoom
Tuesdays 1400-1600 five weekly sessions from 12th April.

Convener: Carole Walton
Tutor: Roger Murray

The group will be based on the three text books used in previous terms. These are:

"Ecce Romani 3 - Home and School" published by Oliver & Boyd, (2nd Edition) 1982, ISBN: 978-0-05-00347-5,
"So you really want to learn Latin, 2"by N.R.R Oulton, published by Galore Park Publishing, 1999, ISBN:978-1-902984-01-8,
"Ritchie's Fabulae Faciles" published by Geoffrey Steadman, revised version 2015, ISBN: 978-0-9843065-5-8.

Additionally, each week, Roger highlights some aspect or other of life in POMPEII/HERCULANEUM as described in the British Museum book on the subject.

Roger Murray will hold a weekly Zoom session using the three books in various combinations. This will also involve the setting of homework, to be marked at the following session. Any new pupils, who have reached a level of Latin commensurate with these texts, are very welcome to join the group.
