Sept 5th - Starting on the Sonnets - 36 selected by Eric. Copies will be available on the day
if no one has them.

Oct 3rd - A reading of Richard 111, an historical play that depicts the rise to power and
subsequent short reign, famous lines include:

'Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York
And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.'

He was reburied at Leicester Cathedral on 26th March 2015 after his
remains were discovered in September 2012.

Nov 7th - Continuation of Richard 111.

Dec 5th - Test your knowledge of Shakespeare with our Festive Shakespearian Quiz.

Jan 2nd - THERE WILL BE NO MEETING THIS MONTH - DUE TO THE MINERS BEING CLOSED.

Feb 6th - More Sonnets,

A production of Shakespeare's darkest tragedy, Macbeth, is on at the Royal
Exchange Theatre, Manchester, from 13th September to 19th October, starring
Lucy Elinson in the title role.

You don't have to be an expert to join us, some of us have not read Shakespeare since our school days - including me - but our group is a lively and pro-active one, enjoyed by us all.
