We have been blessed recently with an Italian speaker, Krystina, joining our group. This have made a tremendous difference to our progress.

The current members are presently fairly comfortable with greetings and introductions, talking about their families, talking about where they live and the work they do ordering food and drink, booking accommodation and tables in restaurants, asking directions, arranging transport, talking about times, days, and dates, shopping for food and essentials.

Whilst various holidays are being taken we are now having a short break, during which time members will be browsing at leisure through Paul Noble's Learn Italian. We will cover this book from September with a view to revisiting BBC Italian Book 2.

Our last session for 2019 will be on 18 December and we will re-commence on 8 January 2020.

We have found that writing a brief diary of day to day events useful.

The members should now feel that they are at or reaching an intermediate level of knowledge. Beginning to think in Italian, rather than thinking in English and then translating.
