Christine writes: We begin this new year with a positive outlook. This group has been going for over two years now and I feel it is a beneficial source of support for people who wish to get ideas on how to deal with change in their lives. This could be looking at self-esteem, sleeping issues, keeping healthy, assertiveness, relationships etc. The list is endless.
Although some of the issues are of a serious nature, we do still bring some fun and laughter into the sessions and ensure there is a balance into our allocated time.
All sessions are Thursday mornings 10.00 am - 12.00 noon
Our small group continues to be a beneficial resource for those who wish to look at living a healthy and positive lifestyle.
We have visited topics such as exercise, dealing with change, meditation methods and their benefits, anxiety, sleeping issues, healthy eating, medication and its benefits, loneliness and how to overcome it, assertiveness etc.
Although we have already discussed the above, we are always ready to re-visit them as things are constantly changing so it is important to keep up with new developments.
We try to look at something different each session and I always encourage members to bring shared ideas and information to the group.
U3A members are most welcome to attend and join us in a "light-hearted" and "feel good factor" group.
