We would like to thank all the members old and new who have attended the last three meetings and helped continue this vibrant group
Our last meeting before Christmas will be on 21st November when we will be welcoming a visiting local artist who will demonstrate his work before we have a go ourselves

Pat has, after seven years, decided to step down as Facilitator of the Watercolour group. We would like to thank her for all she has done for the group in the past and to wish her well for the future.
We have agreed to take over the running of the group from the next meeting on Thursday 15th August. At this meeting we would like to get ideas from the group members about any changes that they would like.
Our initial thought is to spend the first part of each session looking at different techniques e.g. skies, washes, colour mixing, perspective, composition etc and then to put this into practice in a painting. If we can get hold of a screen and projector we may be able to watch some demonstrations of these techniques. Hopefully this will give us all a chance to share our experiences of watercolour painting and pass on any tips and techniques we have learnt over the years.
