Pétanque Boules
Convenor: Angie Barnes
In Pétanque the goal is to toss hollow steel balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally, piglet) or jack, while standing inside a circle with both feet on the ground. Pétanque is normally played on hard dirt or gravel.
All members are welcome to participate in this gentle, leisurely sport, which is also suitable for people with some physical disabilities.
A nominal fee of £1 per session will be charged.
When: 3rd and 4th Mondays of the month during the summer, 4.15 - 6.15pm. Leicester Bowling Club, Kenwood Road, LE2 3PL.
