Singing for Pleasure
Convenor: Margaret Potter
A group formed of people who enjoy singing for pleasure. There is no entry level requirement, just an enthusiasm for singing. We meet once a month to sing a variety of musical styles by common consent. What the group sings and how it is managed are decided by those present at each meeting and develops over time. Should any member object to a particular piece, it is removed or adapted to accommodate them.
Refreshments are provided but we ask a modest 50p donation towards the cost.
We also collect a fee every six months or so to cover the cost of room hire. This is currently £30, but as the group grows it is collected less frequently. You can come to a single meeting to try us out for free.
Anyone who is interested in joining the group should contact Margaret.
When: 10.00am, 4th Wednesday of the month, at the Quaker Meeting House, Queens Road, Leicester LE2 1WP.
