Convenor: Helen Parsons
We have changed the way we introduce poems to each other. Now every month members bring several copies of a poem or poems they would like to talk about, these are then handed out in turn and discussed. This way we get a terrific variety of poems!
We have ranged very widely, according to the tastes and preferences of the members, and have considered poets such as Matthew Arnold, George Crabbe, Carol Ann Duffy, Philip Larkin, Seamus Heaney, and also lesser known writers. We have also looked at poems on themes such as garden poems, summer poems, London poems and so on – the possibilities are endless.
When: 10.30am, 1st Monday of the month, in members’ homes.
