Modern Novel
Convenor: Helen Parsons
This long running group continues to meet every month to discuss one of the many excellent novels which are still being written. Some critics claim that the novel is a dying art form, and that no really good books are being produced these days, but this has not been our experience; our problem has rather been, which of the many to choose.
Members take it in turns to choose a book, introduce it and (generally) host the meetings which are usually very lively. The atmosphere is quite informal; our sessions end with tea, biscuits and chat.
When: 10.30am, 3rd Friday of the month, in members’ homes.
