Current Affairs 2
Convenor: Henry Paulinski
Meetings start with coffee and are quite informal. Normally we have agreed at the end of the previous meeting on a first topic to start us off and members are asked to bring an item of current news which may have caught their eye. We don’t plan too much in advance; current news can change very rapidly from one month to the next.
Group members have widely differing views, which makes for interesting meetings. We listen to others’ opinions, and if we disagree we marshal our reasons, then say why we have a different view. We work on the principle of friendly and non-confrontational discussion.
When: 10.30am, usually 3rd Wednesday of the month, in members’ homes.
