Yoga for relaxation, strengthening, flexibility and balance.
Yoga is an ancient practice that includes mindful movement (asana), breathing practice (pranayama), and meditation. Yoga can help to build strength, develop flexibility and cultivate mindfulness and relaxation. This class will primarily include postures, with some opportunity for pranayama and relaxation.
We will use props, such as chairs and blocks, so that everybody can benefit from the health benefits of a yoga practice.
For the class, loose comfortable clothing or fitness wear is recommended. Mats will be available but feel free to bring your own. If you have a blanket, you may wish to bring that as it can help to support your posture in certain poses – and comes in useful for the relaxation at the end!
