Overall four walking groups explore the Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire countryside with walks that vary from 3 to 11 miles in length. You will walk in beautiful countryside, meet some friendly people and feel very healthy as well.

You will find the programme on the link on the right. If you have problems opening it, please let the Walking Coordinator (above) know.

All walks that take place throughout the year are pre-walked and every care is taken to ensure members' safety.

All walkers must wear walking boots/shoes and carry their own packed lunch and drink to be consumed on the walk. During hot weather please ensure that you carry adequate drink and sun cream, protective hat etc.

Please note that dogs are not permitted on walks due to limitations of the U3A third party insurance.

We meet at Brough Park Leisure Centre overflow car park and then fill a small number of cars to drive to the starting point of the walk which is usually circular. Just turn up, fully equipped as above.

A printed programme is produced every four months describing the walks, naming the leader and stating the mileage. Copies can be obtained below the Noticeboard in Norton House, from the leaders prior to the start of the walk, or click the link on the right above.

We have occasional pub or cafe lunches and walking trips (sometimes staying overnight) too.
