We are a group who discuss and learn more about the man and his plays.
Shakespeare was taught as a subject in school when we were young and we often rediscover him in later life. We approach Shakespeare as he intended, not by reading the plays, but by watching, looking at extracts and discussing different themes.
Members are invited to put forward topics to lead the group in discussion. There is no rota, members are free to propose an issue or not as they please.
Shakespeare works in all cultures – see the picture of the Japanese ‘Macbeth’.
