Hand Bell Ringing

Our year is divided into two seasons Autumn (September to November 2018) and Spring (January to March 2019). We do not meet in the summer as the activity is numbers dependent and too many people go away, including me. We meet on the first and third Tuesday afternoons at my house.
We have a steady core of about ten people and usually a group of 6-8 to play at any one time. We can now play from individual copies and undirected, which is much more difficult than from acentral chart, although this method is still used to learn a new piece. Our repertoire is expanding as we sometimes have a new piece every session.
It is very gratifying that two past members have "graduated" to playing with local teams because they enjoyed it so much. We hope to give our first public performance to U3A before too long.
