Group Leader: John Langford
CORONAVIRUS - BETWEEN 17 MARCH 2020 AND 15 JULY 2020 OUR VISITS PROGRAMME WAS SUSPENDED. FROM 22 JULY WE ARE CAUTIOUSLY RE-STARTING OUR MEETING PROGRAMME WITH APPROPRIATE COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS, INCLUDING A MAXIMUM OF SIX PEOPLE ON A TRIP AND LIMITED TO THOSE MEMBERS WITH THEIR OWN TRANSPORT. CONTACT THE GROUP LEADER FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
To help us keep in touch and share avian-related information WE DO HAVE A CLOSED FACEBOOK GROUP FOR OUR MEMBERS - search FaceBook for KN AND MKH U3A BIRDWATCHERS.
We will be studying birds in a variety of habitats and at different times of year, through walks and field trips to reserves, local and afar, primarily to improve members’ bird recognition but also studying habitat and bird-song, and photoing where possible.
Members bird-recognition skills vary greatly, some expert, some novices. All are welcome.
We are meeting twice every month in 2020. Meetings are generally on the 1st Monday and the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
All group communications are carried out by email. A mobile phone is also an important aid to contact whilst on field trips.
We travel to venues by car.
