Bird Watching

Group Leader: John Langford

CORONAVIRUS - PLEASE NOTE THAT WITH EFFECT FROM 17 MARCH 2020 OUR VISITS PROGRAMME IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

To help us keep in touch and share avian-related information WE DO HAVE A CLOSED FACEBOOK GROUP FOR OUR MEMBERS - search KN AND MKH U3A BIRDWATCHERS.

We will be studying birds in a variety of habitats and at different times of year, through walks and field trips to reserves, local and afar, primarily to improve members’ bird recognition but also studying habitat and bird-song, and photoing where possible.

Members bird-recognition skills vary greatly, some expert, some novices. All are welcome.

We are meeting twice every month in 2020, except for August, when there will only be one meeting. Meetings are generally on the 1st Monday and the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

All group communications are carried out by email. A mobile phone is also an important aid to contact whilst on field trips.

We travel to venues by car. Members share cars and share travel costs.
