This group started in March 2019 and is led by Lesley Goonesekera who says:
We meet once a month, on the second Friday in the month. Sometimes, if there is a good bird around, I may invite others to join me on another day for an "unofficial meeting".
I have 20 interested people, but limit numbers to a meeting. This has so far worked well, as all members have other commitments. We usually meet at 9am and we share cars, starting from Warren Road, Kingsbridge. It is better for the environment, and parking at birding sites can be limited. Most meetings will finish by 2pm.
Walking boots and binoculars are essential. I can advise on the latter. Most meetings involve walking, sometimes on uneven terrain. A week in advance I email members saying where we are going and other relevant information.

11th October, 4 intrepid group members braved a blustery day to view the birds on Beesands Lea from the hide there. See the report and pictures by clicking the link on the right.
3rd January 2020, a group of 5 birdwatchers walked from Torcross to Slapton and back. See a picture of the group by clicking the link on the right. Many of the common water birds were seen, the most unusual being Goldeneye ducks - one male and two female, and Pochard.
