The Raspberry Pi is a cheap computer which is designed for experiments and can be used for anything from monitoring a bird nesting box to controlling a weather station. The group will provide mutual self-help to support people in their own projects and in defining possible new projects.
At the moment, we are not considering regular meetings. Meetings would be 'on demand' for the time being. We would call a meeting if someone wanted a group discussion on a relevant issue, or wanted support with a problem to do with a Raspberry Pi project.
Two mentors are available to assist. Dave Barnwell who has substantial experience in building electronics projects and has been experimenting with controlling these with a Raspberry Pi; and Grenville Taylor who has considerable experience in computer programming, including automation projects with unusual hardware and electronics. Anyone with a project in mind, should contact
Grenville Taylor by clicking Raspberry Pi to email or telephone 854407.
