Stretch and Tone 2
Stretch and Tone for U3A members started in Autumn 2014 and was a flourishing weekly activity held at Harbour House, Kingsbridge until December 2016.
In April 2019 it is now revived by our new leader Trish Cooper. The weekly sessions take place at Charleton Village Hall on Thursday afternoons from 2 to 3pm. However on 2nd May the hall is occupied by Local Election facilities so the meeting there is impossible.
The exercises are a combination of those used in Yoga, Pilates and balance work, with one half of each session focusing on standing exercises, and the other half on mat work, ending with some relaxation. The sessions are designed for the older participant, recognising that conditions such as arthritis and joint replacement can restrict movement. Anyone is welcome to along to see if the exercises suit their needs and/or restrictions
If you join you will need a mat to lie on. If you do not have one, bring a blanket or similar to provide cushioning.
