Jan has been following progressive rock music since 1971 and is looking forward to sharing her enthusiasm with other fans of the genre, or with those who would like to learn about it. The group will meet informally to enjoy listening to and discussing a range of pieces from the late 1960’s/1970’s to the present day. Popular bands associated with progressive rock include: Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Camel and Caravan. The genre still has a loyal following and many excellent contemporary bands have joined the scene. Jan will provide some background information, as well as many examples of this music, and suggest albums for the members to explore, but everyone will be encouraged to bring along their own music.
Group full at the moment but contact Jan as there is a waiting list
