Hyndburn

Welcome to Hyndburn U3A Website

Hyndburn U3A creates a learning environment for the retired or semi-retired, with the intention of expanding their interests, enhancing their mental and physical welfare, and providing enjoyable social contact with others. There are no age, gender, religious, ethnic or political barriers to membership. You may join our U3A if you live in Hyndburn or the surrounding area.

Hyndburn U3A is one of around 800 U3As in the UK and is affiliated to the Third Age Trust. Our U3A was formed in May of 2015 and has over 120 members taking part in various group activities. (Details of these can be seen on Page 2 of our newsletter).

We have an open meeting every month on the second Friday at 2pm. The meetings are held currently held at Trinity Church in Great Harwood, all existing members and those wishing to discover more about membership of U3A are welcome.

At these meeting we usually have a speaker to entertain us and we have an opportunity to socialise with other members and discover more about group activities. There is a small fee of £2 for non members.

If you would like to know more about the benefits of U3A membership, join us at one of our meetings where you will be made most welcome.
