Historic London Group 3
The group makes monthly visits to places of interest in London.
During the summer we had an interesting walk along the embankment with David Williams (London Footsteps). We drive along there going on various trips to theatres etc. without paying any attention to the history along there. It was surprising how high the Thames was in places not that long ago.
In September we had a guided tour of lords Cricket Ground, taking in the Long Room, Dressing Room, Real Tennis Court and Museum. After a visit to the shop we ended with a meal in the Lords Tavern alongside the ground.
We have recently organised trips across the winter months and into the new year.
