After the brilliant daytime promenade performance of the East 15 theatre group at Priory Park telling the story of the Stratton family who once lived at the Priory and the earlier story of the monks.
Our next venture out to the Clifftown Theatre saw the same actors in a very different light. On a November evening we were off to the Clifftown Theatre to see 'Life's a swindle', Cabaret in the style of Germanys Weimar Republic when a Cabaret was liberal with innuendo and satirical bite!
We were told it was a bit nudy and rudy in parts! It was great fun, lots of different songs throughout, it's amazing what a half naked lady can do with certain bits that a Hitler face has been drawn onto and later the two nudes with only a face covering the bits! We did have a laugh! To finish off our evening we went to Baccus for a coffee and two ladies who shall not be named had enormous pieces of cake to go with it!
The Priory performance was free and the other one cost us the grand sum of £6.00 each.
We have been a very small group for both of these performances but we have enjoyed ourselves.
Next event to be advised at later date.
