Welcome to Howden & District U3A
About the U3A
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a network of local associations providing social, cultural and learning opportunities for retired and semi-retired people at minimal cost. There are over 1000 U3As, supported by a national organisation, the Third Age Trust, with over 375,000 members. Click here to view the 1000 U3As celebration.
Activities are run by and for members, who share their interests and skills in a friendly and informal environment, often in members' own homes.
There are no obstacles to joining the U3A. All you need is spare time to learn and share social and cultural opportunities with like-minded people.
For more information on the national organisation please visit the LINKS page.
