We continue to hold our meetings, which Shenaz kindly hosts, on the afternoon of the first Thursday in the month. In March we finally had our small party which had been postponed for a couple of months - lots of delicious goodies!
Often, we have a topic for a meeting and each member brings their own contribution to share. For example, last month the topic was ‘Change’ and we heard of inventions and improvements that changed the lives of the Victorians, and also a list of strategies for coping with major life changes.
We always have quizzes, on any topic under the sun, although those on TV adverts and programmes seem most popular. They stretch the memory and give the brains a workout as well as providing many laughs. Indeed, we leave the meetings having learned something new and with a smile on our faces!
